Can i run it on win7? Game don't launch. No error messages or something. Nothing at google except recommendations of updating windows and video drivers.
Standard type character is strongly recommended over hardcore, for all players. It is also recommended that new players start in a normal mode world. Hard mode currently doubles the health and damage of all enemies and bosses, for little to no pay-off.
At least in my experience, success depends a lot on getting the timing right. You basically want to trigger an enemy to attack without hitting you, then hit them a few times while they are on cooldown, then repeat.
Another beautiful week has gone by and things have been as busy as ever with the Core Keeper community! There are basically 2 classes in this game at this point, Melee and Ranged, because Magic and Summoner are barely playable - Magic is not the worst, but they can Core Keeper Gameplay only get 1 weapon crafted, from what I've seen. Where every other weapon is an RNG drop, and makes it really difficult to get them as you wont be able to get stronger with easy to get gear. Summoner is absolutely painful to play as a class.
Torch - these are key to being able to see in the dark of the underground. Holding the Shift key temporarily pulls torches, from anywhere in inventory, into the currently selected hot-bar slot, for illumination and placement.
Generally speaking, it's a good idea to place your base near the Core. The Core has a Waypoint which can teleport you to other areas, and crafting your own Waypoints and Portals is expensive.
Minimap: This shows you the map of the area immediately around you. Icons for bosses that you have located will also show up on this map, giving you an idea of which direction you need to go in order to reach them.
This time I'm running because I found a carrot for the first time and I can't wait to see what new meals I can cook with it. In Core Keeper I may be trapped in the dark with unspeakable horrors, but I'm also comfortable enough to get excited about making a stew.
Boss order and world exploration are theoretically quite flexible, given this is a sandbox game. There is currently only one solid gate to progress: defeating the first 3 bosses. Which separates this guide into two parts.
